* Sunday Sketch to Final Product *

This design I did for The Podcast Eating Contest logo for itunes. I sketched it on the corner of my moleskin journal. Sometimes sketches end up in weird places...on post-its, napkins, take-out menus. I always try to keep them in one book, but it rarely ever happens. When inspiration strikes, just grab what's nearby and start sketching.

* Design by Inspiration: Colors *

I LOVE this color teal, and wanted to do a project with it. I'll definitely use it more elsewhere, but for now, I just used it in a fictional logo.

The yellow accent was the first thing that came to mind, but it would be interesting to use it with a different color accent. I will try a post of different color combinations with the teal.

* Design by Inspiration *

My mom has been obsessed with the colors purple and light green together, and has purposefully placed these colors around the house with her flowers.

Today I decided I would use her love of these colors together to inspire a quick logo project. I based the logo off both the colors of the flowers and the flowers themselves. The font I used is called District Thin, which I found on smashingmagazine.com.
